I got started about 1 1/2 yrs ago after being a weaver and fiber artist for years and years and have been trying all kinds of things since. My portfolio of prints is so varied even I can’t believe it. Try using stencils, or fencing material and rollers. I even use flip flops to make images. So much fun and so many different solutions.

The three of us would gather on one bed while she read a chapter a night. Even when we were old enough to read for ourselves, we loved being together and being read to. Your daughters will probably remember this all their lives.

Of course I grew up with a passion for reading, and I love reading above almost all things in this world.

I would like to revive the Victorian custom of reading aloud as a pastime for adults too. Occasionally on Christmas day my partner will even go along with this. One year we took turns reading Washington Irving’s Old Christmas aloud in its entirety. Another year I read aloud Kenneth Grahame’s hilarious story “Bertie’s Escapade” about the animals’ Christmas caroling adventure. I’m going to try more of this in the future.
